Battersea Dogs & Cats Home launches its biggest appeal in its 153 year history to replace ancient kennels

Published: 07/04/2014

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is appealing to the public to help it build much-needed new kennels, to transform the lives of thousands of stray and unwanted dogs each year. The 153year-old animal rescue charity aims to raise £1.9 million to help it continue providing a home to more than 6,000 dogs every year. The appeal will enable the charity to retire its oldest Victorian kennels and replace them with purpose-built facilities designed to reduce the length of time each dog has to stay in its care.
